Suddenness Poem by Sujoy Bhattacharya

Suddenness

Rating: 5.0

I came home really mashed
drinking the bitter soup of insult!
Who insulted me?
A place where a chunk of green nature
survived fighting hard with the human assault.
I was ousted from the place mercilessly.
A nauseating smell in the air
chased me with a broom of opprobrium!
The flippant fleet of a floating cloud
grinned at me with jeering laughter.
A hornet kissed abruptly
on the tip of my nose.
I was panting pathetically.
A butterfly fanned on my swollen nose
as a gift of solace!
Acid rain suddenly poured in torrents
to to depict scars on my civilized form
naked with denuding shamelessness!
