The Squirrel Poem by Namita Rani Panda

The Squirrel

Every now and then
The squirrel peeps in
Through my window
Perhaps he loves my company.
Being secured in my AC Room
I have closed the windows,
Broke her nest which she had built
To rear her babies.
Now in the battle I am the winner
Being stronger;
But a lone survivor
In my four walls of selfishness
With no chittering,
No inquisitive eyes,
No life!
