The Stable The Cradle The Cross And The Table Poem by Loyd C Taylor Sr

The Stable The Cradle The Cross And The Table

He didn't come in royalty nor
with esteem of men,
but born in a lowly stable
when there was no room in the inn.

He wasn't robed in garments
of scarlet or of gold;
just wrapped in humble swaddling clothes
to shield Him from the cold.

The cradle began his mission,
His Table shows it's done.
The stable led Him to the cross:
our souls' redemption won.

See the cradle and the stable,
where He came to earth that day.
See His Table laid with bread and wine
and the cross upon display.

Friend, do you see? God proved His love
for all at Calvary;
For on that day, He sacrificed
His Son for you and me.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
About the poem: In this poem, my goal was to tie the Cross, the Stable, and the Lord's Table together, to find the beauty and the purpose in each. The poem was used in a sermon around Christmas time, as the church also celebrated the Lord's Supper.Loyd, the " Simple Poet."

Its great poem. Next Xmas when another great sermon comes up send me a plane ticket full board will come join yah. The lesson in the scriptures and in this poem is that God and Jesus will not be found in the church cathedrals mosques etc. They are found in simple places among the flock
