The Steel Vampire Poem by Alan Strand

The Steel Vampire

Death stalks the skid road walks:
Come see the lonely shadows shuffle,
Enslaved by the thorny prospect
Of powdered lies viewed in vacant eyes:
The silent cry of the steel vampire!

But why bleed dry these souls so sick
Who desperately rush from fix to fix
Which they dare share
With their new friends,
'Through a Blue Lens'.
