The Story Of Amazing Grace! Poem by Denis Martindale

Grace was a precious little girl, nicknamed as Amazing Grace.
One Sunday, she listened to the Minister preaching about Easter.
One thief requested of Jesus, Remember me when You come into Your Kingdom!
Jesus replied, Today, you will be with Me in Paradise!
The Minister asked the congregation, What's missing from this conversation?
The congregation pondered, yet couldn't give him an answer.
Don't all rush at once! joked the Minister.
Suddenly, Grace stood up and carried her chair and put it next to the Minister.
She stood on the chair, looked straight at him, and said, Thank you.
He asked her, Grace, why are you thanking me?
She said, I'm not, but that's the missing part. The thief didn't say, Thank You, Lord!

Then she faced the congregation, He was in so much pain he could barely think.
Perhaps he only had the strength to think the words, Thank You, Lord!
But we're not being crucified, we're not in agony, we've got no excuse!
We're saved, and granted eternal life, and on our way to Heaven to meet Jesus!
Why can't we say the missing part? THANK YOU, LORD!
She got off the chair and carried it back to where she was sitting before.
A silence fell for a little while, then, suddenly, the congregation began to stand up!
The Church was filled with praises for Jesus, the King of Calvary!
THANK YOU, LORD! THANK YOU, LORD! THANK YOU, LORD!
No wonder that this little Christian girl is called Amazing Grace...
