They say love is supposed to be kind,
Are these people really that blind?
Here’s how the story goes,
I guess all women who been in love knows.
You meet a man and fall in love,
You think he’s the greatest from the world above.
They come around adoring you with gifts,
Thinking their game is swift.
They start going out a lot,
Thinking you don’t know their plot.
It causes so much pain,
Waiting for him you go insane.
You ask him where he’s been all night,
All it does is lead into a big fight.
You start to breakdown and cry,
Because in his story there’s a lie.
It hurts knowing he cheats,
You tend to ignore it because he starts acting really sweet.
Showering you with sweet hugs and kisses,
Knowing inside that something’s missing.
In your heart you wish you could say goodbye,
But when you can’t you wonder why.
You realize no matter how hard you try you can’t let him go,
You get frustrated and ask to take things slow.
He knows that he’s been caught,
He knows there’s going to be a lesson taught.
Then you get the strength to leave him on your own,
Then he calls you on you cell phone.
He tells you he loves you and wants you to stay,
You start to feel like a lost stray.
Without him in your life you think your doing fine,
But no matter what you do there’s always some kind of sign.
In your mind you try to make up lies,
Though your love for him you can’t deny.
He calls and says come back, what’s the harm,
You try not to but you go back to him with open arms.
You feel hesitant when he whispers your name,
You just know that nothing will be the same.
He proves over and over he won’t hurt you anymore,
He knows that if he ever does it again his butt will be out the door.
I guess in the beginning love is pain,
But in the end love is the greatest thing you can have and you have nothing to lose but everything to gain.
