In the shadows of a broken heart,
I searched for where I'd find a start.
Through all the lies, the pain, the tears,
I faced the weight of wasted years.

I built my walls, I hid my pain,
I walked through storms and endless rain.
But somewhere deep, beneath the scars,
I found my strength among the stars.

No more crying for what's gone,
No more holding on too long.
A cheating heart can lose its claim,
I won't be trapped inside that flame.

I'm leaving yesterday behind,
A new tomorrow waits to find.
The hurt may linger, wounds may show,
But I am stronger than I know.

Through every tear, I learned to see
The person I was meant to be.
I found my voice, I found my way,
A little stronger every day.

Love can hurt and love can break,
It can leave scars that time must take.
But I won't let a painful past
Decide the future that I cast.

One day my heart will love again,
With someone who will be my friend.
A love that's honest, pure, and true,
A love that sees the real me through.

So here I stand, no longer bound,
With both my feet upon the ground.
The past is gone, the pain will fade,
