The Strive For Greatness Poem by Khaleel Steir

The Strive For Greatness

An unstoppable force, like a tidal wave crashing over my competition
You can't stop this man, who blows past the obstacles.
I'm the Micheal Jordan of anything I do.

A bon fire burns within. So hot, the sun seems like a candle.
It warms me as I trek through the cold unknown
Searching for all, any who dare challenge the man.

Defeat does not exist in my vocabulary
Losing is something I will never accept, not even in the face of the Reaper himself.
I will conquer all challenges, obstacles, anything they will try to stop me from success.

You call it cocky. I, I call it confidence.
The line between those words is pride.
And my pride lies with the Gods.

I'm a legend in my own mind.
Success at my side, respect is my throne.
But you'll see. One day, I will be the greatest there ever was.
