The Struggle To Survive - Poem by Mark Benniman

Here we all are at the cutting edge of the universe, beep, beep, beep, this day.

Every thing that has ever been, behind us, all yet to happen before us.

In all of space life goes thump thump, thump thump.

All life, thump thump, thump thump, this day.

Maybe at distances and in places we can't even imagine, thump thump, thump thump.

Look up.

They say it's the small things that make the difference
