The Stubborn Heart Poem by Asma Khan

The Stubborn Heart

Rating: 4.5

There is so much pain
in the stubborn heart
That remains undefined

I wonder my destiny
must be written in
a foreign tongue
that remains ununderstood

I have no interest to
fight against destiny
anymore to get you
that remains unintended

I felt your vulnerability
in your gaze but for
a moment and no more
that remains unattended

I will enjoy your memory
from time to time
which will alter me
that remains unrequited

I still think our best
dialogue was between
our glances
that remain undreamed

Here I love you and
the horizon hides you
in vain that remains unseen
After you my heart
has become a deserted house
of ghosts that remains unvisited
