The Sun And The Night Sky Poem by Claude Davis III

You are
To me,
As the sun is
To the night sky.

You control half my life.
And if you were gone,
I would be out twenty four/ seven.
And then I would have my life back.

But I wouldn't have it any other way.
For the half the day you are out,
You are out with me.
Even though people can't see me,
I still enjoy your company.

I only have late hours to myself.
But if I had a say in it,
I would change it to
Daytime all day.
That way you would be with me all day.
