The Sun Knows No Rise Or Set Poem by Mohammad Younus

The Sun Knows No Rise Or Set

Rating: 5.0

The Sun knows no rise or set—
When the earth tilts toward the sun,
We call it sunrise.
When it leans away,
We call it sunset.
But the truth hums softly—
There is no rise or fall.
The sun treads its steady path,
Life, as such, bound to its circular course,
Struggling to break free—is in vain.

Good times bloom after storms,
As if a thousand suns descend,
Lifting you on the stream of life.
You start to believe—
Nothing can go wrong.

But light is fleeting,
Appearing, vanishing—
Leaving you breathless,
A blind rat in a silent trap.
Tears fall like snow, dissolving—
The wheel of time creaks forward.
And you trust—it will turn again,
Washing away the shadows—
That veil your real face.

The wheel of time is constantly moving,
Do not pray for Taqdir to bow to your will,
Nor plead for its constant smile.
Pray instead for peace—
Strength to rise after every fall.
Pray for ecstasy and light—
To lift you from the deepest dark.
