The Sun, No Justice Poem by Chloe Evangeline

The Sun, No Justice

this sky
ever changing
clouded, now sunny
a tale to tell
no tongue to speak it with
lost between space and the ground
i try and speak it
capture the history
with a camera;
it never does it justice
writing it,
this is where the story really lies
a cracked circle
suspended for eternity
carrying out a sentence
surrounded by those puffs of smoke
lifting an ever-heavy weight
yet weightless
the background
a strange blue
sometimes smeared with red
pink or orange
and the glowing sphere
continues on it's journey.
this,
even these words cannot describe
this effervescent beauty
a setting
a rising
coating the land in a twilight candy
and oh
just imagine
what it would be like
if every day and every night,
we could meet this sun
and salute it
making known its presence
and it would watch over
just imagine
what an impossible dream
