The Sun Sets Poem by Lorenzo Cruz

The Sun Sets

What happened to your love and what time did it leave. How far has it traveled and will it come back. A ship with no port, no place to rest, time will put us to the test. Who can love you like I can, like I will, like I do. Your confusion has left you possessed, giving in to something less. Open your heart love and hear, the price love is asking may sound dear, truly there is nothing you should fear, but fear itself. Go ahead then and kill my heart, rip it all open tear it apart, I will still rise from my own ashes, made whole again. All that is left is to surrender, a sweet one if you may, its all you have to give. The choice if you wish to live, but you wallow in death, its all around even on your breath, when you talk. I have no more words to say, but the statement in my eyes, my heart and my love..

Very well written, although I admit the continuous lines make my eyes sore (smile) . However, your content is superb. x
