The Sun Sets On Us Poem by Lynn Grassette

The Sun Sets On Us

Rating: 5.0

Colors turn from orange to dark purple
The mountains emphasizing the shades
Covering my eyes from the brilliance
I sigh, another wonderful day.

It's so perfect here with you
Watching the sun drift from sight,
And a painters palette for the sky

You are as beautiful as these colors
As they shift, sway, and change,
Although I suppose like these colors
You to, will fade

The sun sets on us

beautiful Job. A great picture and great detail. I love to watch the sun set too. I sit on my roof and watch the sun go down. ♥ Mandy

Hey, miss negative. That sunset you've sketched so well may be one of many! But you're right in the ultimate sense. It sets on all of us sooner or later. Sooner than you'd expect too! But hey, that's negative stuff from me now! ! Perfect moments like this don't come along too often though and should be cherished in just this way. Finely evocative. Very sparing but effective use of language. Keep writing Lin. I look forward to reading your work. jim
