The Supplication Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

The Supplication

Before being put out of thy light my God
I would like to see thou art vivid
Though not sad nor weird being blind
For I have seen thy light so much outside
I will accept this as thy blessing infinite
So merciful and so benevolent
Thou art
I think not to rebel against
As now I would see thou art inside with bliss
So illuminating I fear not going blind twice
Though lightning and rain and thunder
Thou bring together
To bless this earth with flowers
What then will I do with tears
Only- thou art
When I can't read and write
