The Surprise Romance Poem by Matthew Holloway

The Surprise Romance

It wasn’t planned as such
Just one of things to happen
Complications need ironing out
Issues wait, require solving
But they pale into nothing
When the company is like this
A romance burgeons tonight
New lives moving on
The idea never even began
It just fell into its own place
Nobody should be hurt
Although that’s not always the way
The casualties of life counted
One, two many seen
While we wish to be three
Four the future we count off
Days till the announcement
It wasn’t planned as such
It just kind of happened
