The Teeth Poem by Candice Renae Williams

The Teeth

Rating: 2.0

The teeth flashed with an eerie light.
Making me tremble at the terrible sight.
Dreading, the reality.
Fearing, the uncertainty.
Hoping that my deepening shadow would hide me from the night.
The gnawing hunger reflected from cold eyes,
Gazing intently, promised a trusting lie.
Startling, the unknowing.
Escaping, the frightening.
The teeth flashed with an eerie light.
