The Theorist Wins The Popularity Contest Poem by Raj Dronamraju

The Theorist Wins The Popularity Contest

I was a conspiracy someone offered back in the 1990's
20 years later, not a tear had been shed nor a detail changed
Information now accepted as the sun accepts facts and
The Earth could have edges where we blithely fall off

Love calls out, it does not care for the truth and is subsequently drowned out by the sudden division of people - pick the difference
A generation of emigrating strangeness and a decade of single-minded fortitude packed in tightly

The flip of living, from not cared for but reputable to the popular and the acclaimed but not taken seriously
Hopefully, success won't roadblock the hidden knowledge quest
Forcefully remove the integrity of non-fiction research

This is anything that loses credibility after it becomes accepted
Now progress is blocked, the masquerade of worthlessness stays in place
Here's the conflict with certainty not popularly accepted and in jokes that undercut ever knowing what's real and painful
