The Things You Said Poem by Melissa Koeman

The Things You Said

I heard it from my friends
About the things you said
It felt like a knife twisting and turning
In my heart
A pain so sharp
You betrayed my trust
Never felt so low about myself,
I got so carried away with you
Now you’ve brought me right back down to earth
I heard it from my friends
About the things you said
Never felt so disappointed
Your lies
Bring tears to my eyes
Never felt so stupid
I trusted you
The things you said still linger
Leaving me scarred
Did you ever really loved me?
