The Threat Poem by Saikat Adhikari

The Threat

Rating: 5.0

It is winter,
The field has arisen
His vast chest
From the watery bed of the river.
There raises a great kingdom
Holier than Rome,
The kingdom of birds.
The grassy land has also allowed the goats and buffaloes,
And the persons who love those.
There is a new world,
World of joy and utmost pleasure,
But like the mighty kingdoms
It has so many foes,
The greatest one is the Urbanization,
O, the hellish urbanization
That makes man machine
And machine man.
Urbanization may make the heavenly place
A hellish place of marketing,
A Shopping Mall or something more hellish.
The thirsty god of Urbanization
Is fond of destruction,
The destruction of beauty,
Destruction of pleasure,
Extreme destruction of nature.
So, time has come
Now it's time to utter,
`Stop the hellish urbanization,
Love the heavenly nature.'
