Flying in an Airbus gifted by a parading lifestyle,
ensconced almost in an alien world,
she sits regally in the pomp of her birthday party.
Down on earth in the glamour of metropolis
a pair of eyes glistens in the dazzle of a necklace
studded with diamonds: a gift in remembrance.
And far off somewhere else in a dimly-lit room
a face blushes, her long black hair cascading
into a wreath of jasmines – a birthday gift too.
