The wealth of a person that does not help the relatives,
The farming work of a person who does not have the duty
To safeguard the greeny crops during the period of ripening,
The pride of the inheritance of the person who lives
By drinking the inebriant liquor are the three things
Those spoil all that said as if these appear to be existent!

நேரிசை வெண்பா
கிளைஞர்க் குதவாதான் செல்வமும் பைங்கூழ்
விளைவின்கண் போற்றான் உழவும் - இளையனாய்க்
கள்ளுண்டு வாழ்வான் குடிமையும் இம்மூன்றும்
உள்ளன போலக் கெடும்.59 - திரிகடுகம்
