The river hums where echoes fade to light, Its silver hands still carve the endless shore. No voice can halt its ever-faithful flight, Yet all who cross will long for something more.
The stars still burn though none may touch their fire, The wind still sings though none may know its tune. We walk through days, yet lost in silent choir, A fleeting spark beneath the watchful moon.
If time must pull, then let it bend with grace, Let moments shine before they slip away.
For though we chase, though all must leave a space, Some shadows glow beyond the break of day.
