The Tired Leviathan Poem by Raj Dronamraju

The Tired Leviathan

THE TIRED LEVIATHAN

The tired leviathan was immune to their weapons and blows
And his giant mouth breathed in and out in colossal sighs of why bother

The tired leviathan moved slowly over the same old terrain
Booming tremors with each footstep, everyone here is used to this

The tired leviathan is as far removed from the destruction he causes as if he had in fact not caused it
He was the single focus point but this did not produce strength
They did not fear him, they cursed him, they had lost any awe of him his stature produced

The tired leviathan made long slow rounds over a sterile landscape
Like the moon is a blameless victim
He walks without a gravity that might have come from a different place
