The Tomorrow Is Bleak Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

The Tomorrow Is Bleak

Rating: 5.0

Where lies the future
Of our progenies?
When elders consumed
Their tomorrow today

All around is desolation
Hopelessness and despair
The theme 'leaders of tomorrow'
Is now a mirage that fades away

Those supposed to propagate our linage
Have embraced anti-social vices
To survive the carnage
Orchestrated by their parents

How can there be a tomorrow then?
When the hopeful offsprings
Have been consigned regrettably
To the abyss of corruption.

That's a realistic picture of the world. Sadly the world is full of injustice because of corrupt politicians. Sad scenario. Well articulated.
