The Town's Leading Poetess Poem by Francis Duggan

The Town's Leading Poetess

Rating: 5.0

Though not widely known as a writer she is loving and kind
The town's leading poetess has a beautiful mind
So many poems she has written each day she writes more
The widowed grandmother of years six with three score
One who never yearns for literary renown
Yet by far the finest nature poet in the town
Of flora and fauna such beautiful poems she does write
So easy for to read and for to recite
She is not a member of any local writers club
And she never socialize in the local pub
She just writes for enjoyment true poets are this way
And she adds to her numbers of poems every day
The town's leading poetess in her ways quite shy
But the title of poet of her none should deny.
