A tree that grows so well upon a ledge
Has umpteen truths to tell to men on earth;
Was it from seed to sapling, then to tree?
How come it stands precariously thus perched?
But then it grows up straight towards the sun;
Its roots are strong and keep it balanced well,
Providing nutrition it needs with time;
The rain gives water adequate for growth.
God's hands protect it from getting destroyed;
It may not give men shade or flowers, fruits;
No bird has built its nest on it so far;
Yet, God has permitted it life unique!
It stands as example to God's great works;
It lives although it is of not much use;
Akin a freak born child, it grows afree;
God has a purpose for this tree unknown.
Let men all learn that Mother Nature's great;
No man can ever equal her prowess;
The grace of God is blessing most required;
The Will of God all creatures must obey!
