The True Race Poem by Alonzo Titus

The True Race

Thank you Lord for all the beauty
you've placed across the Earth,
the beautiful scenery, the wonderful sky,
and the Oceans all have their worth,
but the greatest of all your creation
is the race that we call man,
and man of coarse is the only race
placed here by a Holy hand.

Men have tried to divide God's race
by the color of their skin,
their hair, their eyes by color or shape,
some even through their kin,
when the time runs out upon the earth
and all men stand before God's throne,
not everyone standing there in that line
will receive a heavenly home.

So think before you label someone
God may be holding them in His heart,
and if you are persecuting them
you may not be very smart,
if you stand and shake your fist at God
as you set out upon your way,
just remember when you've chosen your path
there will be a judgement day.
