The Trumpet Has Sounded Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

The Trumpet Has Sounded

Too blind to see and too lind to understand,
Like red hot chili pepers!
But sweet Jamaica is full of the vibes that it brings.

Life in Jamaica,
But do hide yourself from the guns!
And you will surely need me oh Port Maria.

Oh Jamaica!
Like the lovesome gunmen on the hills;
But now the trumpüet has sounded and,
We will now see the nakedness of the sheep.

Life in James Town,
Life in Jones Town,
Like the beautiful bud out of the garden of love;
But sweet Jamaica is always on my mind.

Oh Port Maria,
I am the living proof;
And like life in Morant Bay and,
The life in August Town as well.

Oh Jamaica,
You are like the beautiful bud of love;
And i will always remember you.
