The Truth Poem by Taylor Winegar

The Truth

You know the feeling
When someone’s behind you
When you turn around
to see the face
but all you see is
Empty
You walk ahead
Chill as the night
Fright in forever your will
You know they are there
Forever will they be
sitting inside of you
Again you turn
To see the Nothing
But there
There is something
Something inside
Burning up like paper in a fire
Afraid you are for them
To come out
And reveal the true you
In Fury
Scared am i not
For you start to run
But what from?
Nothing to fear
When they are present
To Feel
This way
Is to keep them safe
For you only know how to
Use them
Afraid
Be not
Though you seek
Let it go
Show it needs
To be free
To be me
To be Joyful
Depressed
Angry
Frightened
Excited
Worried
In Forever
Will your name
Be
Emotions
