The Truth Poem by Brendan Miller

The Truth

Never before have I seen
Something so beautiful outside a dream
So it seems I must be dreaming
Because you are absolutely gleaming

A smile that makes me fall apart
It ensnares my throbbing heart
And knocks it to a different universe
Because we rarely ever converse

Eyes in a category of their own
They make me feel like I have been thrown,
Into a world of complete bliss
Which I hope ends with a kiss

Luminescent locks of gorgeous chestnut
That give me a knock to the gut
Then sends me into a dizzying ecstasy
I can only smile heavily

A personality I cannot help but adore
Anyone around you seems like a bore
Feeling smug I always think
Man what a perfect kink

I know this may seem like mush
But it's true, I have a crush
A feeling that is full of fire
And lit with a burning desire
