My Own Truth Poem by Brendan Miller

My Own Truth

I look around each day and see in detail
People's faces and expressions.
Certainly not many people fail
The happiness they show has positive progressions.

When I try to help I only know
That I'm doing the right thing deep down below.
My heart starts to pound and breath gets faster
For the gun to my head shows no laughter.
