The Truth Poem by Kathryn Eddy

The Truth

Rating: 5.0

The truth is what you've gone to find,
Yet I'm afraid I must decline,
For the time I can not tell,
As you might not take it so well.

When I was young as you may recall,
I thought that I had known it all,
But as time went on I began to see,
Not everything is about me.

As the years progressed I'd continued on,
Never feeling as if I truly belonged,
Keeping many secrets as I would,
Hoping in the end it'd do some good.

There were other reasons by which I stood,
Keeping my ways as I thought I should,
This path of which there is no rest,
That is until I've done my very best.

Now you know the path for me,
Trust is what I have to see,
"Fora child, I am not! "
Right now this chance is what I've got.

An insightful reflection nicely brought forth in verse with rhythmic splendour. A work of an intricate mind. Thanks for sharing and do remain enriched.

Now you know the path for me, Trust is what I have to see, Fora child, I am not! Right now this chance is what I've got...to be true to one's own self without self deception is great task and then true before God and other human beings.......... this leads us to spiritual heights....... thankyou dear poetess. for your thoughts.. tony
