Why are we heard saying -
‘It is time we talked about us,
About our being together and in love.'
Why do we say so year after year?
Why do we not pay as much attention?
To our wait for the winter-spell to end,
The warm days to return,
The rain to lash the green,
For the flowers to bloom and
Spread their exciting scent;
To which events we only react.
Ought not we be heard saying -
It is time we ended the spread of evil,
And, brought in the good for goodness sake.
