the typhoon last night
was devastating
it was strong and prolonged
the roof almost gave way
the windows about to be flown away
the floors shook
and the walls about to break
we hug for comfort
we prayed together
and curled together
we intertwined like vines
on the tree
that morning after
i am thinking about our intimacy
tested by storm and darkness
and i say to myself, perhaps i need
another storm for proof
i still could not believe how we made it
