know this, that u had me a decade and four years ago
you had my heart and soul
you let me go like the ocean pushes the tide ashore,
and in a moment, the love we once knew was like bubbles in the air... fading

and you've come around again... but once is enough
if u but let me go once more
know this, i shall embed it in my heart that u never existed...
not in my dreams nor in a long forgotten memory
for i would rather live with that than bear the anguish of knowing our love never came full circle

i am here, i breathe, i ache and long for you
but i am yours to pursue
my heart is yours to lose once again
and if u choose that path taken days of yore
know that not even my breath, nor my shadow u would behold once more.
