The Uncertainties At Hand Poem by Paulane Garcia Tugas

The Uncertainties At Hand

I find myself talking when there's no one around
i grin, laugh, chuckle at my thoughts running in my head
i find it peculiar, surprising, amazing... this love that i've found
swooning, blushing and day dreaming on words that you've said

you are certainly one lad, not difficult to love
if your words hold water and your love be real...
oh how i would love to love u back and thank the heavens above
so are you the one, are you the real deal?

God, i prayed for a man of honor, true to his words, a kind heart
a man who would love me, cherish me and my children as well
and if you are what i prayed for why are we oceans apart?
why do i have to dream of a life together that only time can tell?

i prayed to be near him, cry with, laugh with and be by my side
for my little ones to look upon him and see a father's love
but with you there and us here, the distance between so wide
a chat in a box, a smiley face, an online affair is all we have.

so tell me, how do we get from 'being miles away' to being as one?
how do we be partners, lovers and a couple as true as can be
how do we go about it... what needs to be done?
would u get to where i am, would you pursue me, personally?

if you have not an idea what to do and tomorrow seems so far away,
then pardon me if i hesitate and hold back all that i have for you
for if i have to be with someone, yet wake up alone each day,
how can we be as one? an end, love's longing would not come to.
