The Union Poem by Alexander Beebe

The journeys of two lives begin,
the fate of each His hand is in.
Unbeknownst their paths will cross
a place and time not known to them.

Each step they take draws closer still
A union of two lives.
The point they meet starts chapter one
The story of their life.

Their fondness grows, their feelings change
To more than just attraction.
The love takes root-it’s watered well
The bond it grows foundation.

In time two lives begin as one
A union it will take.
Another chapter turns its page
A solemn vow to each they make.

The story that will be their life
As yet has not been written.
But God above who holds the script
By Him a story’s given
