The Unseen Hero Poem by April Humason

The Unseen Hero

In the shadows, you always stood,
The butt of jokes, misunderstood.
A hero quietly playing a part,
Hidden beneath laughter and art.

Your cape may not shine or gleam,
But you fix what others don't see.
With every jest and playful tease,
You soften hearts and bring them peace.

You carry the weight with a smile so brave,
A silent strength in the roles you save.
While laughter rises, loud and light,
You're fighting wars no one sees at night.

You laugh along through every scar,
Never showing how strong you are.
You gather the broken, the lost, the torn,
Turning ashes into something reborn.

Through humor, you silence the strife,
Breathing hope back into life.
A hero disguised in everyday grace,
The unseen light in a shadowed place.
