The Very Best Of People Poem by Francis Duggan

The Very Best Of People

Rating: 2.0

The very best of people yet few them celebrate
In the minds of the down and out and needy some hope they do create
They never seek the limelight since that is not their way
They help out other people without asking for pay
They are indeed a rare breed won't find one everywhere
But amongst the poor and forgotten you are bound to find them there
They are indeed true heroes though their praises few do sing
They have the gift of caring that is a marvellous thing
For their compassion for other human beings from others they stand apart
Their's is indeed a rare gift those who are kind of heart
In the refugee camps of the World or on poverty street
Where-ever the poor and homeless are them you are bound to meet
For them no celebrations nor never a parade
But to the lives of many such a difference they've made.
