The Very Present Poem by Abdulrazak Aralimatti

The Very Present

Does the value of a diamond
Ever return after burning?
Do the dead ever return?
Return after their funeral!
Does the time ever return?
Return back once marched!

If ever you want to evaluate
Or else want to self introspect
Your true nature and action
The response and reaction
The success and victory
It's the very very present time

What's in your hand?
When the bird flew away!
Right across your face
And you long for it
In the uncertain future
