The Vikings Heartache Poem by Lonzo Tannehill

The Vikings Heartache

Rating: 3.0

there's a hole in my chest that ceases to rest.
a night-mare it seams a never ending dream.
the days go on but how can i remain strong.
my world grows dark. crashing all apart.
my heart no longer here i never seem to fear.
what happens soon will be under the light of the moon.
the void it feels will never heal can this be real.
with these eyes i see in the mirror its not me.
a stranger stares back his eyes are black.
his skin is pale as snow his smile never shows.
where once there was a glow he thought no sadness would he know.
his steps are slow as he accepts his fate, he shakes his head knowing its all to late.
the light is gone it grows harder to carry on.
the face he displays is simply a masquerade to hide the sorrows of yesterday.
the past he cant return the present has begun to burn.
will the future bring him change or will he go insane.
the war has just begun the pain can not be undone.
the gods they test him with there best he never seems to rest.
his heart begins to crumble the ground begins to rumble.
the demons knock on every door they search for peace to be no more.
the pain it will never cease no peace in this world with this one find unless he leaves it all behind.
the pain the agony and the fear! ! ... should he throw them to the rear.
should he run away and never stop or should he fight never to drop.
should he rise to meet there hate and face his fears and change his fate.
the gods are waiting for his answer never fading from the banter of his blade as he fights among the glade.
dost he raise his blade so high to meet the ravens eye.
his mind is clouded his judgment is doubted.
his answer is swift there's no denying the rift.
will he fight or will he flea there is no answer on bended knee.
the warrior wishes to rest but he must pass one final test.
this world we see is not to be this world is not for you and me.
the warrior looks up to the gods for strength against all odds.
never giving up will he until he sees the valkyrie.
so with these words i fair the well simply put.... go to hell
