Do You See Me Poem by Lonzo Tannehill

Do You See Me

Do you see me. Standing here. My heart exposed for all to see. When your near it thuds and pounds making all the loudest sounds. But when your gone it's still and calm I sometimes fear it's no where near. But that's because it belongs with you my dear..do you see me. These tears flow freely. I feel as if you do not see how much you truly mean to me. Mistakes I've made so long ago keep us from the love that could surely grow. But no. You do not see. You can not hear the thudding of my heart that's in my ear. So I will go with these few tears and leave my heart for I do not need it here. I leave it for it does not belong to me and to take it would to be a sin you see to lock it away so it can not feel would be a hell in witch no one should have to feel. So take my heart and see just how loud it can be. Do you see.
