The Virtuous People With Dignity And Education!
The virtuous people with dignity and education
Shall not go into the theatre of dance and drama,
To the place of festive carnival, to the hall of marriage,
To the place where people gather and work in killing field,
To the battlefield where there is furious noisy roaring
And any other such places at any time!
If they happen to go to such places, that might
result in dishonor and loss of wealth to them!
This poem 'The virtuous people with dignity and education! ' is a translation by me of a poem from Tamil literature 'Elaathi'
இருவிகற்ப நேரிசை வெண்பா
கூத்தும் விழவு மணமுங் கொலைக்களமும்
ஆர்த்த முனையுள்ளும் வேறிடத்தும் - ஓத்தும்
ஒழுக்கு முடையவர் செல்லாரே செல்லின்
இழுக்கு மிழவுந் தரும்.62 ஏலாதி
