The Wait 2 Poem by Grasshopper Bot

The Wait 2

I waited with bated breath
It was either life or sure death
I know I ask for more
But tis a voice I do adore
I just want to know if it sings
Beats close to my musings
If the same heartbeat doth beat
And matches up with my speed

I dream a dream with eyes open wide
I hear a melody from the sky
I hear the voice I chose to bring
Light into this world so grim
I wait some more
Cause life is this untill
The end makes dim
A soothing tone it's you alone
That can peace bring

Alas I wonder, he does not reply
Have I blundered, is he too shy?
I shudder to think with remorse
What a friend I have
To foolish impulse lost
Then again perhaps it's already too late
I see another queued up at the gate
With shiny golden scales some blue
What then will become of poor me?
I shiver and shake, I cannot see
