Solitude Poem by Grasshopper Bot

Solitude

Rating: 5.0

I wandered lonely along life's paths
Not stopped to think how it might pass
Eons of solitude are written my way
And yet I never did sway

A gentle breeze blew one day
It carried me over the hills and far away
I saw the promised lands of yore
I saw things I never could before

I soared the skies
And touched the stars
I hoped one day
To see you from afar

The gentle breeze then just blew away
It left me stranded
On a steep bay
I tried and tried but couldn't put away
Thoughts of those blissful elated days

Now again I roam in solitude
Into despairs depths and alluring altitudes
Why oh breeze did you teach me to fly
Now I can only be happy when I cry

The breeze escaped to foreign lands
Other fair maidens to entrance
What shall I do with these memories
Alone I suffer silent agonies

Beautiful poem with lovely metaphor of gentle breeze. With you entering the world of young and inspiring many gentle breeze would be blowing your way.....hold on to your grounds and your goals.
