The Wanderer Poem by Terrance Tracy

The Wanderer

The Wanderer

The wanderer charts a course knowing the destination he is to pursue; he wanders about until he is through.

As he traversed throughout the earth, the wanderer cared not for an opulent berth, preferring solitude with his father while his companions slept, the wanderer wishing to be alone away from the multitudes, forsaken, the wanderer lives his life in despair.

Futile not from his journey, the ire of accusations of humanity haunted the wanderer each hour of the day; perceived to be a center of nonconformity the conversations of others imprisoned the wanderer to eternal chains of perdition.

Men have rejected the wanderer that roams the earth to seek a human heart to claim as his own.

In a land that thrives on religious schisms so divided, they will not stand the persecution from other nations as they band.

The wanderer has visited each temple to hear words of how much they trust in him, we all are guilty of singing the chorus and yet simply we extort the righteous hearts to build larger temples and rejoice when we sing, ‘See what God has done.'

The righteous heart is the object of the wanderers journey to iterate 'Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness; for they will be filled.'

Give to Caesar that which is Caesar's, give to God that which is God's, is the wanderer's toast, a heart of giving out of compassion and not for religious boast.

To this modern age this prophecy still applies, 'For Zion's sake I will not hold My peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns.

The Gentiles shall see your righteousness, and all kings your glory you shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord will name. The rest you can read in Isaiah 62
