The Waterfall Poem by Terry Finch

The Waterfall

What plummets down a rocky gorge
will use the path it helped to forge
and as the roaring stream has grown
it washes smooth the flat creek stone
then tumbles past the canyon wall,
cascading down a waterfall
and on its quest to join the sea;
the waterfall will beckon me.
