The Way It Is Poem by Audrey Heller

Today, with the economy, the way it is,
one has to be conservative! We have
to learn, to do with less, even though
it's hard to take. There are many things,
we have to cut down on and believe me,
it's not, a piece of cake! There's no
doubt, a lot of us have been spoiled, for
we did and bought whatever, we could
afford! Now, all that has changed, for
some of us, find ourselves, overboard!
It's an adjustment, in many of our lives,
but we're strong and we'll manage, to
find our way! There is no use in
complaining, for truly, it really doesn't
pay! It will take a while, but I'm certain,
in due time, it will get better and we'll
do, as we did, before. But for now, we
just have to be patient, by buying less
and not more!
